Willie Nelson Covers Pearl Jam’s ‘Just Breathe’ [VIDEO]

Country is not my music genre of choice but growing up (in the 80s and 90s) with a mom that listened to it, I have always kept a small handful of favorites in my pocket. Country legends like Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, and The Judds come to mind, as well as one of my all-time faves Willie Nelson!

Now, as you know, Willie is still kickin’ it, living well, and still rockin’ out. He also just had his 79^th birthday. He’s a true inspiration, so I find it very cool that he still gets inspired, even by fellow musicians decades younger than him. He recently covered one of the finest bands ever to come out of Seattle, Pearl Jam. Willie chose to sing their hit “Just Breathe” which is remarkable on its own, but the beauty Willie brings to it with his tone and guitar skills makes it even better.

The song is featured on his latest album, Heroes, which also showcases Willie covering Coldplay and Tom Waits. Snoop Dogg also makes an appearance, singing with Willie on a track called “Roll Me Up”. Of course he did!
