Former Pearl Jam Exec Charged With Stealing From The Band

Even bands that have as much seniority as Pearl Jam (20+ years?) have to keep their eyes wide open for people taking advantage of them.

The former chief financial officer for Pearl Jam’s management company is under fire for allegedly stealing from the band.

Rickey Charles Goodrich, 54, is being charged with 33 counts of theft. The charges were filed earlier this month in Seattle. Goodrich is being accused of swindling $380,000 from 2006 to September 2010, when he was fired.

The Associated Press reports that prosecutors say Goodrich took money from company accounts to pay personal debts and expenses, as well as family vacations and even wine.

Goodrich has an arraignment scheduled for June 28 in King County Superior Court, where he is expected to enter a plea.

I say this pretty much everyday, but what is this world coming to?? All I’ve got to say is there’s a lot of bad karma coming this guy’s way. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY steals from Pearl Jam!
