Wow, this just sort of came out of left field! It’s been announced that Hollywood power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting a divorce after five years of marriage. It looks like there will not be a Suri2.0, lucky for Suri. Actually, lucky for the 2.0…

Anyway…

Katie’s probably the one who’s asking for the divorce, #1, her husband is most likely gay, and #2, her attorney is the one talking with the media. ”This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family,” says attorney Jonathan Wolfe. “Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”

Oh shit. It was Suri who ordered the divorce. She’s such a little Napoleon.

I’m sure more details about the Cruise/Holmes divorce will emerge soon and we’ll be here to dish them out to you. For now, tell us your thoughts about the divorce. Are you shocked? Bummed? Pissed? Elated?

UPDATE: Katie wants sole custody of Suri. Scientology is said to be the main reason of the split. Apparently Katie doesn’t want her daughter to grow up to be like her dad.

Yes,I’m shocked but perhaps he didn’t drug her that day, since day 1 she acted like she was slipped a dose of “stetford/robotic” emotions. I never liked Tom and Katie together, he’s a pompous jerk and will probably trade her in for a younger impressionable girl..

I was a total Katie fan and was so confused about her interest in the real life hobbit, I am so glad she has come out of her tom-a-tose… now she can go back to the normal-ish life. and hopefully Suri will come out of her crazy scientology shell she has grown up in. best of luck to buth the girls and now Tom can date John in public instead of meeting up for “scientology” conferences.

Shocked…No. Elated…Yes. Now she will be free to do a Dawson’s Creek reunion and get back with Pacy…er…Josh Jackson. Which is what I’ve been rooting for all along.

Divorcing Tom Cruise is far better for your career and fashion sense. Think about it. These ladies come from the “what doesn’t kill ya makes ya stronger” marriage. I think he’s secretly a gay-stylist. Nicole? Katie? Even Suri… (makes me think he was friends with Steve Jobs – Mr. Style! Suri? Siri?!) Eesh. I used to think Tom Cruise was awesome. But, he just plays the same exact role in different pants.
