Lindsay Lohan Will Star in “The Canyons”

Despite her career never getting above lukewarm status, Lindsay Lohan has managed to land herself another role, and there are actually some big names attached to the film.

Lohan is set to star in The Canyons, a tale of wild 20-somethings “doing bad things in nice hotels”. Sounds like a stretch for Lohan. I don’t know if she can pull it off. It’s just so NOT like her to do drugs or have sex with people in hotels…heh.

The Canyons is a film by Less Than Zero author Bret Easton Ellis, so you know it will be wild. Forever burned in my brain is the image of Robert Downey Jr. giving…er, nevermind. Paul Schrader, who wrote Taxi Driver and directed American Gigolo will direct. So it sounds like it might actually be a decent, dark film. My favorite kind.

The downfall is, and there is always one with Lohan, she is starring alongside a porn star. A guy who is pretty well known in the industry, James Deen. There’s always a catch, isn’t there?

Filming began last week and Lohan is already on the set. Does this sound like one you’ll be watching?
