Christian Bale Pays Visit To Aurora’s Shooting Victims

There’s nothing sexier than a man with a giant heart and Christian Bale has just that. Sure, his movie star looks don’t hurt either, but really, it is what’s on the inside that counts.

The Dark Knight Rises star took it upon himself to fly to Colorado Tuesday to visit the victims of the massacre that took place last week during the screening of the latest Batman film.

An assistant to the studio’s executive VP Susan Fleishman told The Denver Post, “Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Bros.”

In the photo above (via Yahoo! Movies), Bale sits next to Carey Rottman, a victim of the shooting, who posted the pic to his Facebook page with the caption, “Wow!!! Thank you so much for the visit Christian!! What a great guy! Still in shock!”

Saturday, Bale issued a heartfelt statement regarding Friday morning’s tragedy, saying, “Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”

Wow, what a man. It’s nice to see celebrities step up to the plate when something as serious and horrifying like this occurs. We need more like Bale, and less superficial and self-absorbed idiots like Tricia Evans.
