Lady Gaga Making Acting Debut In Robert Rodriguez’ ‘Machete Kills’

It was bound to happen that Lady Gaga would branch out from making pop music to transforming herself into a Hollywood movie star, and what better way then to appear in a Robert Rodriguez film?

Gaga surprised Twitter fans Thursday when she tweeted out, “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”

She then retweeted the director himself who confirmed, “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

Gaga will be playing “La Chameléon” in the film, which is set to include Jessica Alba, Vanessa Hudgens, Sofia Vergara, Michelle Rodriguez, Mel Gibson, Edward James Olmos, Charlie Sheen, among others.

The movie is considered an “action exploitation film” (according to Wikipedia) and is the sequel to 2010’s Machete, which did pretty damn well at the box office. With the addition of Gaga, I predict another great success.

I have to say, I love, love, love the movie poster. It’s very Gaga, very Rodriguez, and automatically classic in my opinion.
