Bret Michaels, Kristi Gibson Call Off Engagement

Last time we spoke about Bret Michaels, we were left with the exciting possibility that he was planning on making a movie about his life. I would assume that a big part of the film, especially the parts that reflected his love life, would involve his long-time love Kristi Gibson, but sadly that love is no more, and the two have decided to break it off for good.

A rep for Michaels released a statement saying, “Although the couple have separated they remain great friends and are committed to jointly raising their two daughters.”

After more than 16 years dating, and two beautiful children together (daughters Raine, 12, and Jorja, 7), Michaels finally popped the question in late 2010, but sadly it seems, it just wasn’t meant to be.

What a bummer, I really, really like them together. My gut tells me they’ll have another go at it in the future. We’ll see.
