Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux Engaged!

Amongst all of the break-up rumors involving Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, and with the recent speculation of a possible wedding between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, this is the last news I was expecting this weekend.

People is reporting that Theroux popped the question to his girl on Friday (which just so happened to be his birthday), and lucky for him (and her!) she said YES!

His rep told the magazine, “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.”

The two have been dating for more than a year, and both starred in the movie Wanderlust together.

This will be the second marriage for Aniston, 43, and the first for 41-year-old Theroux.

I’m really curious to see if anything becomes of the Brad and Angelina rumors. Maybe I’m just a conspiracy theorist, but wouldn’t this be a little bit too coincidental that Hollywood’s King and Queen (Pitt and Jolie) would get married the same weekend Hollywood’s sweetheart (Aniston) got engaged? If you really hated somebody (like it’s rumored Aniston hates Jolie), what better way to take attention away from the happiest weekend of your life than by having it be known as the weekend your nemesis got engaged? Oh, the gossip rags are going to go wild with this!

Either way, congrats to the happy couple!
