Willie Nelson Hospitalized, Cancels Appearance

Country singer Willie Nelson, 79, was hospitalized Sunday after suffering respiratory problems.

Nelson was scheduled to perform at a fundraiser Colorado Sunday evening but didn’t show. Attendees were informed of Nelson’s medical problems and were told he would not be attending.

A spokesperson for the fundraiser said Willie woke up Sunday morning and had problems breathing and was battling emphysema. No word on if he is still hospitalized or what his prognosis is.
