Wynonna Judd’s Husband Has Leg Amputated After Motorcycle Accident

Wynonna Judd‘s husband and drummer, Michael Scott “Cactus” Moser, 55, has had his left leg amputated following a terrible motorcycle accident last weekend in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Moser’s motorcycle collided with an oncoming car as he rode with Judd before a show – his motorcycle crossed the center line. His leg was “severed” at the scene of the accident. Doctors could not save his leg and were forced to amputate it above the knee. One of Moser’s hands also require surgery.

Wynonna Judd, Moser’s new bride, released the following statement on Sunday:

“The outpouring of prayer and support from friends, family and fans has been a blessing to both Cactus and I. Cactus is a champion. I love him deeply and I will not leave his side.”

The couple were married in June. Police cited Moser for driving on the wrong side of the road and for failing to posses a motorcycle endorsement.
