Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes Officially Divorced

Well that was fast!  Almost two months after announcing that they were splitting up, Tom Cruise and now ex-wife Katie Holmes have finalized their divorce.

It’s been reported that on Monday, a New York judge signed off on the actors’ divorce case, and now it’s official…the two are divorced after five years of marriage.

An insider that knows Cruise told E! News that his buddy is glad to be moving on from the divorce. He said, “Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward,” adding, “His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues.

Bravo for these two making the divorce amicable and quick.  It really could have gotten ugly, but luckily for their daughter Suri, it didn’t. These types of split ups are rare in Hollywood, but maybe things are changing. If you recall, Katy Perry and Russell Brands divorce finalization only took 6 weeks! Slow clapping for maturity!
