Howard Stern Continues To Slam Jay Leno, Against NBC’s Wishes

Howard Stern’s animosity towards Jay Leno hasn’t exactly waned over the past decade, and when it comes to speaking up about it, in true Stern fashion, he doesn’t hold back…for anybody.

Stern has made it be known many times his distaste for The Tonight Show host, but his most recent insult against Leno apparently triggered a clash with NBC higher-ups.

Last week the America’s Got Talent judge and shock jock called Leno a “spineless maggot” on his radio show, which didn’t exactly settle well with an NBC executive.

Says Stern, “I got a threatening kind of comment from one of the [NBC] executives,” adding, “I was laughing my a** off.”

Not one to take threats from anyone, Stern explains his reaction by saying, “I said, ‘Do not tell me to not talk about Jay Leno — I will f**king talk about Jay Leno for four hours if you tell me not to. I was done with Jay, now I’m all fired up again: F**k Jay!”

Regarding the possibility of being fired for talking smack on Leno he says, “Take my job away from me. Who cares? Don’t f**kin’ threaten me. I don’t answer to anybody.”

Stern says he believes the recent Tonight Show staff cuts were Leno’s evildoing, even though he blamed it on the network.

“Jay wanted to cut staff,” he says. “He’s embarrassed to do it. He didn’t want to come off as a bad guy. NBC took the hit for him, because they’re a corporation. My bulls**t meter is going off all over the place.”

Similar to Elton John and Madge’s ongoing bitchy feud, I don’t see this one ending any time soon. Entertainment for all.
