Courtney Stodden’s Parents To Divorce

Just a couple days after Courtney Stodden turned legal and celebrated in a way many of us did not, with floods of porn offers being thrown at her, the child bride’s parents announced the sad news that they’re headed for divorce.

Crazy Courtney’s “momager”, Krista Keller, has told E! News that she and Courtney’s father, Alex Stodden, have decided to call it quits with their marriage.

Keller said in a statement, “After being separated for a year, Alex and I are in the process of a divorce. In truth, we’ve been living separate lives for many years. It is time we both pursue our own happiness. Courtney is the most important thing to the both of us and she knows how much both her parents and her husband love her, and that’s what matters most.”

Well this is a bummer for everyone involved, and really, I think this will not be good for Courtney’s sanity. She’s clearly been going off the rails in the last couple years, and this won’t help, though I’m sure if her parents have been separated and had been having issues the past year, this doesn’t come as a surprise to her.

What amazes me is the fact that her parents were still together, and the fact that they condoned their daughter’s behavior. Well they did sign off to her marrying Doug Hutchison at age 16, so yeah. Maybe they really didn’t totally agree with everything their daughter’s been up to, and perhaps that’s the reason for some of their problems, who knows?
