Russell Brand And Spice Girl Geri Halliwell Have Been Getting Close

Russell Brand and Geri Halliwell seem to have hit it off during this year’s Olympics in London (both performed at Closing Ceremony). The funnyman and the Spice Girl have been photographed at least a couple times in the past week, once at Hampton Court Palace with Halliwell’s 6-year-old daughter Bluebell, and another time outside Ginger’s Spice’s house in London.

An insider close to the situation says the relationship is nothing serious…yet. They told UsWeekly, “Russell and Geri are just friends and have been out a few times of late. A few media are prematurely reporting that they are in a serious relationship, [but it's] a little early for all that type of speculation.”

Another source adds, “They’re testing the waters. It’s very early days.”

Brand sure does seem to love the chase. Since splitting from Katy Perry, Brand has been (recently) linked to actress Jordana Brewster’s sister, Isabella, but that was short-lived.

Rumor has it that one of the reasons Brand took such a liking to Halliwell is because he found out she too lives a life of sobriety. Obviously, for somebody that’s battled addiction, that would be an important characteristic.

Well, at first glance this seemed like a weird coupling, but maybe not? One thing’s for sure, if they ever have kids of their own, those kids will definitely inherit the ‘crazy eye’ gene, just look at the pic above!
