Kate Middleton Topless Photo Scandal!

It’s been a tough summer for the Royal Family. First, Prince Harry has his naked Vegas scandal in late August, followed by Taliban death threats against the Prince, and now, some paparazzi has taken photos of a topless Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton vacationing with her husband Prince William in France last week while staying at a private chateau.

Anyway, the French magazine Closer is releasing the photos that show Kate topless on a yacht and also swimming.

The Royal Family is said to be furious over the release of the pictures and is pondering legal retaliation.

After the photos went public, the Family released this statement (via TMZ): “Their royal highnesses have been hugely saddened to learn that a French publication and a photographer have invaded their privacy in such a grotesque and totally unjustifiable manner.”

“Their royal highnesses had every expectation of privacy in the remote house. It is unthinkable that anyone should take such photographs, let alone publish them.”

“Officials acting on behalf of their royal highnesses are consulting with lawyers to consider what options may be available to the Duke and Duchess.”

“The Duke and Duchess remain focused currently on their tour of Singapore, Malaysia, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu on behalf of the Queen.

The RF also said that the incident is “reminiscent of the worst excesses of the press and paparazzi during the life of Diana, Princess of Wales” who died in 1997 while being chased by the paparazzi in France.

Update: It’s been reported Kate and William have filed a lawsuit against the publication, though the details are not known yet. Will update as soon as we hear!
