Shakira Is Pregnant With Her First Child!

A lot has been happening in Shakira’s life lately; good things. No great things!

First we hear that she and Usher have been chosen to appear as temporary judges on next season’s The Voice (temporarily replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green), and now we hear the singer is pregnant with her first child!

The 35-year-old songstress and dancer announced the exciting news on her website Wednesday writing, “As some of you may know, Gerard [her boyfriend Gerard Piqué] and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days.”

She adds, “This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival … I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding. Big kiss!”

This will be the first child for both Shakira and Piqué. The couple has been dating for more than a year and a half.
