Russell Brand Sensed An ‘Incompatibility’ With Katy Perry Before Marrying Her

Russell Brand Talks About Divorce WIth Katy Perry

Opposites may attract, but when it comes to lasting relationships, they don’t fare well together, at least this is the thought pattern Russell Brand has adopted since he and Katy Perry divorced.

During a recent interview with Australia’s 60 minutes Brand explained why he thinks he and his ex-wife’s relationship ultimately didn’t work out.

Brand put it like this: “Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it don’t, but if you sort of sense there’s an incompatibility, then in any relationship regardless of the status of the individual, it kind of is best to go separate ways.”

He goes on to say, “I think if you’re someone who’s really into mountain biking, it would be good to go out with someone else who’s into mountain biking, and if you’re really into Eastern mysticism, go out with someone else whose into Eastern mysticism.”

Brand then goes on to create an odd, drug-related analogy to help us understand: “I think if you’re a devoted tennis professional and you get married to a crystal meth addict, you might have trouble… I’ve been in a lot of trouble.”

This is true, unless you’re a meth-addicted tennis player who marries a tennis-playing meth addict! Come on Russell!
