Leave it to Ke$ha to go on a ghost-humping spree and then write a song about it.
The 25-year-old pop singer stopped by Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM show on Tuesday to chat about her upcoming album Warrior, and during the conversation she explained the background to one of the album’s songs called “Supernatural”.
She tells Seacrest, “[The song] is about experiences with the supernatural, but in a sexy way. I had a couple of experiences with the supernatural. I don’t know his name. He was a ghost! I’m very open to it.”
A closer look at the song unveils lyrics like this: “When you take my body to the stars/ I believe it/ Boy, this love is supernatural/ Can you feel it?” So it was a male ghost?
In June Ke$ha’s collaborator Dr. Luke leaked a short clip of the song to which Ke$ha responded to by tweeting, “You leaked my song about me having sexy time with a ghost @thedoctorluke! Now everyone knows I get it on with ghosts!”
As for the rest of the album, this is what Ke$ha says we can expect: “There are so many weird topics on this record, from having sexy time with a ghost to getting hypnotized and going into past lives.”
The album isn’t what intrigues me as much as what she’ll do with the “Supernatural” music video.
