Man Sues Tommy Lee Over Roller Coaster Drum Invention

Tommy Lee Sued Over Drum Set

Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee is getting sued over that amazing roller coaster drum set he’s been playing on.

Scott King, an engineer based in Los Angeles, is claiming Lee stole the roller coaster drum set idea from him when he approached the drummer in 1991 with the concept for it.

Lee, who was previously known to rock out on his famous rotating drum kit, took to the roller coaster-themed set for his band’s 2011 tour.

King has now filed a lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court against Lee for snatching his idea, and is asking for $400,000 in damages.

According to TMZ, Lee’s lawyers deny all of this, saying he never even approached Lee with this idea in the first place.

We’ll keep y’all updated on the progression of the case.

Just for some Friday fun: If you’ve never seen the roller coaster drum set in action, let Tommy blow your mind. Here he is below in 2011 working drum magic!
