Gwyneth Paltrow Set To Produce A Musical About The Go-Go’s

Go-Go’s and fans of the awesome 80’s unite, because there’s going to be a musical about the iconic all-female rock band and Gwyneth Paltrow is set to produce it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter (via NME), the actress is in negotiations right now for the stage musical and is said to be working with Donovan Leitch and Rick Ferrari, the show’s potential co-producers.

As for the band, they’re looking into possibly being involved with the musical in some way and are considering penning new songs for it.

The Go-Go’s, with lead vocalist Belinda Carlisle, guitarists Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey, bassist Kathy Valentine, and drummer Gina Schock, are currently on the last end of their tour in North America.

In all honesty, I’m not a huge fan of musicals but this one’s going to be killer, I just know it.

Fun fact: Just last year the band received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
