Jack Black Teaming Up With ‘School Of Rock’ Director For Bowling Movie

Jack Black Making Making Bowling Movie With Richard Linklater

Jack Black has announced his plans to work with School Of Rock director Richard Linklater once again, but this time for a new film based on the life of a professional bowler.

Black and Linklater not only worked together on 2003’s School of Rock, but more recently on 2011’s dark comedy Bernie, where Black portrayed a gay mortician who ends up killing a rich widow played by Shirley MacLaine.

The funnyman recently spoke to LA Times about his upcoming venture with Linklater simply saying, “It’s about a guy who gives up everything to be a professional bowler.”

Though Black wouldn’t exactly say who the film was based off of, he did say it was inspired by a professional bowler, and some are predicting it’s about PBA champion Pete Weber.

For now, Black is getting ready to embark on a European tour along with Kyle Gass, the other part of their great rock band Tenacious D. The guys set out to rock Europe on October 11.

I just love Jack Black and am looking forward to this movie!
