Russell Crowe And Wife Danielle Spencer Are Getting A Divorce

After nine years of marriage, Russell Crowe and his wife Danielle Spencer have decided to get a divorce.

Crowe, 48, and Spencer, 43, married back in April 2003, though the two of them met more than 20 years ago when they starred in 1990s film The Crossing together, playing onscreen lovers. Since then and up until they married, they dated on-and-off.

According to sources, the news of the separation wasn’t so much of a shock, as their relationship was rumored to be on the rocks for quite some time.

Spencer is said to be laying low at the couple’s home in Australia, raising their two children Charles, 8, and Tennyson, 6, while Crowe has been staying in New York for work.

Divorce is always bad news, but given Crowe’s reputation as a former playboy, I wouldn’t be surprised if infidelity was a factor here. Let’s hope not for the sake of everyone.
