Joe Simpson’s Wife Files For Divorce, Gay Rumors Swirl

Jessica Simpson‘s mother Tina Simpson has filed for divorce from “Papa” Joe Simpson last month in McClennan County Texas – but is it because he is GAY?

The couple, who seemingly groomed their children Jessica and Ashlee Simpson for stardom, were married way back in 1978.

Rumors are swirling around on the internet that Joe Simpson might be gay – with a 20-year-old boyfriend – and that is the reason for the divorce. Not so sure I agree with that yet, we’ll have to see what details emerge. Simpson was arrested in August for DUI, and I’m sure THAT didn’t exactly help out his marriage either. We hear through the grapevine that it was his boyfriend who was in the car with him…

As the story goes, Joe allegedly came out of the closet to his wife and family a couple months ago (about the time of his DUI) and admitted he was gay, saying he couldn’t go on living a lie anymore.
