If you’re fans of Dave Grohl and one of rock’s greatest bands of all time, Queens Of The Stone Age, you’ll be happy to know that they’ll be working together once again to make sweet, sweet music together for the new QOTSA album!
Queens singer Josh Homme dropped by BBC Radio 1 Tuesday afternoon and broke the news that Grohl will be drumming on the band’s new album.
As you know the pairing isn’t new, as Grohl contributed his mad drumming skills to the band’s 2002 album Songs For The Deaf. He also worked with Homme in 2009 and 2010, when they performed under the name Them Crooked Vultures, along with former Led Zeppelin band member John Paul Jones.
The band’s Twitter account, which is fairly new, suggested that we can expect the new album to be out before their scheduled appearance at the UK Download Festival in June. They also have a name for it already but didn’t disclose that. They did however, post the fun pic of their studio mixing board that you see below. See “Dave” on drums? Hee!
