Katie Holmes Insists She Loves Boxed Wine

Just because Katie Holmes is super famous and reportedly worth somewhere around $25 million dollars, doesn’t mean she can’t partake in the finer things in life like boxed wine!

The 33-year-old actress and mother to ultra-stylish little six-year-old Suri, humbly told the New York Times recently: “I still think of myself as Midwestern.” The Toledo, Ohio native, who has been busy promoting her upcoming Broadway show Dead Accounts added: “I mean, I’ve had box wine . . . It’s good. And it’s a lot easier to open.”

This is just a fun and silly little example of how Holmes seems down to Earth, despite her star status, but we’ve seen a number of instances where Holmes seems just like us ‘normal’ people.

Just the other day, she was seen taking the NYC subway after the first performance of her Broadways show. More importantly, Holmes has been spotted out in the city numerous times with her daughter walking around, usually taking Ms. Suri to school, and sometimes out to play with friends at the playground.

Little things like this, and just the fact that you can tell she’s trying to make Suri’s world as ‘normal’ as possible, tells me she’s a wonderful mother. Suri has a chance.
