Hollywood Breakups: Kat Von D, Deadmau5; Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez

There’s been plenty of news this weekend regarding Hollywood breakups, though none of it really comes as too much of a shock.

We found out that Kat Von D and Deadmau5 have put the kibosh on their young relationship when the tattoo artist tweeted out a series of tweets Saturday, starting with the cryptic “Man…can’t say I didn’t give it my best.” She added: “Man I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off #lessonlearned.” Von D followed up with: “Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together.”

Deadmau5 also took to Twitter to say his peace, writing: “Going to spend a little while screwing my head back on. I guess I’m not cut out for relationships right now. And that’s all I really want to dwell on it right now. I’ll figure it out. No hard feelings.”

He later wrote: “It happened too fast, I lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that I’m having difficulty with. She deserves someone stronger.”

Though it’s still unclear why the two broke up, just looking at their tweets and their timeline, I’m guessing there might have been a third party involved.

One of Perez Hilton’s readers pointed it out in the comments section on his/their post about the breakup, though he didn’t credit them, but back on November 4, actress Chelsea Kane tweeted the DJ: “Waking up to you fanning me with your ear almost made it all worth it. Thank you :)” Deadmau5 responded “Glad I could lend an ear ;) Feel better!”

To that, Von D wrote Kane back: Are you f**king serious? F**k off with that.”

And I’m guessing that was that. Oopsie.

In other relationship news, as you might have heard, Justin Bieber and girlfriend of almost two years Selena Gomez have called it quits. It was Gomez who reportedly cut her ties with her dude.

Sources close to the former couple say the breakup was mostly due to their “crazy schedule”, but also because Gomez had some serious “trust issues” with Bieber.

Aww, young, rich love. Well, I don’t think this is the first time these two have broken up, so who knows if they’ll get back together. At their age and with their careers, it’s probably best they stay single, don’t you think?
