Matthew McConaughey Seen Looking Skeletal For New Movie

There’s going to be quite a few actors competing to get their hands on an Oscar next year, and Matthew McConaughey might be one of them.

From what I’ve seen so far with Anthony Hopkins in Hitchcock, Daniel Day Lewis in Lincoln, and now McConaughey in Dallas Buyers Club, the competition is stiff, and I only named a few possible contenders.

McConaughey, who just turned 43, was seen walking through LAX Sunday looking severely underweight and pale. The actor has been losing a drastic amount of weight (approximately 30 pounds) for his upcoming film The Dallas Buyer’s Club. In the flick, he’ll portray a man named Ron Woodroof, an electrician who was diagnosed with AIDS and given six months to live before smuggling a bunch of alternative drugs from Mexico to the U.S. in an effort to help those affected by the disease.

The film, based off a true story, is also set to star Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto.

Wow, that’s dedication. The look is definitely not working for him, but for sure the paycheck will. I’d do it.
