Jon Bon Jovi’s Daughter Arrested After Reported Heroin Overdose

Rocker Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie Rose (mom is Dorothea Hurley) was arrested earlier this morning at her college in Upstate New York after a reported heroin overdose.

According to TMZ, police responded to a call somebody made from one of the Hamilton College dorm rooms saying that the 19-year-old had OD’d on heroin and was not responsive. Both police and EMTs showed up to find Stephanie alive.

Once there cops found a “small quantity” of heroin as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia. For this she was arrested (along with another student that wasn’t named) for “possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia”, all of which are apparently misdemeanors.

Stephanie has since been released from custody and is required to appear in court some time later this year.

What a bummer but thank goodness she’s alive. Hopefully this incident will serve as a wake up call and help Stephanie get her life together minus the hard drugs.

Update as of 11/15/2012: Apparently the charges brought against Stephanie and the other student have been dropped. Says TMZ: “The D.A. says the charges were dropped because of a New York law that specifically prohibits prosecution of people experiencing a drug overdose — as well as the people who help them seek medical care.”
