Hector Macho Camacho Dead at 50

Boxing legend Hector “Macho” Camacho died Saturday after being shot multiple times last Wednesday while in a car with a friend, Adrian Mojica Moreno. During the drive-by shooting, Camacho’s friend was fatally wounded and the boxer was declared brain dead. On Saturday Camacho took a turn for the worse and went into cardiac arrest. His family made the difficult decision of removing him from life support. He died at a Puerto Rican hospital at the age of 50.

Some believe the murders may have been a drug deal gone bad after 10 baggies of cocaine were found in the victim’s car. Camacho is no stranger to the law, he’s struggled with substance abuse for years and has a domestic violence past.

No arrests have been made at this time and police have no suspects.
