Coldplay Will Be Taking A Three-Year Hiatus

If you’re a diehard Coldplay fan and you have tickets to see their New Year’s Eve concert with Jay-Z in Brooklyn this year, you’re stoked because that show will be a historical one for the band. Not only will they be putting on one of their signature flawless performances (they have a great track record of playing epic concerts) on the last night of the year, but also it will be their last show they’re going to be playing for three years!

The British group’s singer, Chris Martin, announced the news to some of their Australian fans while playing a concert recently in Brisbane. Martin told the crowd that it was “the last big show for three years or so”, before adding that he didn’t “want to stop.”

If you’re in the Connecticut area you can catch the band while they play a gig at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on December 29, and if you’re in the Brooklyn, NY area, you can see them on December 30 and 31 at the Barclays Center.

This is one band that I haven’t seen yet, but need to. Unfortunately it looks like it’s going to be a few years until I’ll be able to.
