Halle Berry, Gabriel Aubry Come To ‘Amicable’ Custody Agreement

Halle Berry, Gabriel Aubry Reach Friendly Custody Agreement

Every time I predict that bitter soon-to-be exes are going to get real nasty in their children’s custody battles, they go off and settle it all amicably and stuff. Like adults, dammit. No entertainment for us, but really it’s better for the children that way.

Fortunately, Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry look like they’re going down this path, even after the chaotic fight Aubry and Berry’s fiancé Olivier Martinez were involved in with each other on a not-so-Thanksgiving Day this year.

Well we hear that Aubry showed up in court Thursday with his lawyer to see if Berry was going to extend the duration of the restraining order she had against him (ordering him to stay 100 feet away from her, daughter Nahla, and Martinez).

This is what the lawyers for both Berry and Aubry said in a joint statement after the hearing: “The parties reached an amicable agreement. There will be no further statements regarding this matter.”

Sources close to the situation say this regarding the agreement (via Radar): “Olivier will NOT be present in the future during the times that Nahla is dropped off and picked up between Gabriel and Halle. This was very important to Gabe going forward because he feared for his safety. Gabe was supposed to have Nahla on Thanksgiving, according to their custody agreement, but Halle asked if she could have the little girl that day and Gabe said yes. He had no obligation to do so, but he had been acting in good faith and knew it meant a lot to Halle, so he did it. Gabe was absolutely blindsided by Olivier and his rage.”

Due to the agreement, it’s predicted that Aubry (aka Gabe) will not go and try to make his protective order against Martinez permanent.

I’m just glad all this is going down this way for Nahla’s sake.
