Honey Boo Boo Is Named Most Fascinating People by Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters has named Honey Boo Boo as one of the Most Fascinating People of 2012. Has she lost her damn mind?!

Yeah, I’ll admit I do find Honey Boo Boo and her family fascinating, but in a trainwreck sort of way. It’s great for TV, but I also find her situation to be very sad. Honey Boo Boo is growing up to believe that the more obnoxious she is, the more attention she gets. She’s also been raised in the beauty pageant world and has been taught her looks, her costume, her performance, is what gains favor with people. She loves to say things only a two-bit stripper says, “A dolla makes me holla!” Is that something a six-year old should be saying while buried under a pound of hair and makeup? Fascinating, yes, but also unsettling.

Others named in Barbara Walters Top 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 are Ben Affleck, Olympian Gabrielle Douglas, Hilary Clinton, Seth MacFarlane (can’t argue with that one) and new Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
