Gwyneth Paltrow On Her Marriage To Chris Martin: It Can Be ‘Challenging’

Let’s face it, all marriages can and will be challenging at times…a lot of the times, but there are wonderful, fun times too. Gwyneth Paltrow is human too and she knows this.

InStyle UK interviewed the 40-year-old actress, who celebrated her nine-year anniversary with her musician husband Chris Martin on Wednesday, and during the convo, she admitted that they’re not immune to challenges that everyone else also goes through in their relationships.

When asked what she thought the hardest part of their marriage was, she answered: “Probably our artistic temperaments together. Artists are sensitive; there are ups and downs, mood-wise. Musicians need a certain gravitas and focus in order to write.”

Paltrow, who has been busy filming Iron Man 3 (as her character Pepper Potts) while hubby has been touring with his band Coldplay, explains further: “The temperament that goes with someone who is creative can be challenging.”

Paltrow and Martin, 35, are also kept busy being parents to their two children, Apple, 8, and Moses, 6.

When the topic of ‘having more kids’ is brought up Paltrow says: “My brain says, ‘Oh, I think I’m done, the kids are big now and I don’t want to go back to changing diapers.’ But a part of me would love to have another.”

She adds: “Of course, I’m old now!”

Six and eight-years-old is considered ‘big’? They’re young’ins and she is not old, but hey if you feel it, you’ll live it.
