We’ve heard a lot about Stevie Nicks voicing her opinions on all things celebrity, but not until now have we learned that her band, the legendary Fleetwood Mac, is planning to tour in 2013! This is great news for the band’s legions of faithful fans, which haven’t had this opportunity since they last toured in 2009.
Along with the tour, which will begin in North America on April 4 in Columbus, Ohio, there’s speculation that the group will release a new album or at least some new material, but Nicks isn’t exactly giving up that information very easily.
She recently expressed her disappointment for what the music world has come to in the recent years saying: “Whether or not we’re going to do any more [songs], we don’t know because we’re so completely bummed out with the state of the music industry and the fact that nobody even wants a full record. Everybody wants two songs, so we’re going to give them two songs.”
Says guitarist and fellow singer Lindsey Buckingham: “Maybe we’ll get an EP out of it or something.”
Please do! Screw the music industry; your fans will buy it. Promise.
