Charlie Sheen Donates $75k To Help Little Girl With Cancer

Charlie Sheen does a lot of wrong in/with his life, but boyfriend is a-ok in my book. The dude has a heart of gold. Finding out that his life isn’t just about drugs, booze, and sex with porn stars, but also includes contributing to wonderful, charitable causes, warms my heart.

According to TMZ, the 47-year-old actor recently had a chat wit a Hermosa Beach police officer and it had nothing to do with him or any legal troubles he’s had in the past or present. Actually, it was about an officer whose 10-year-old daughter Jasmine. Sadly, little Jasmine has been diagnosed with Childhood Rhabdomyosarcoma, a form of cancer that forms in muscle tissue and requires very treatments.

Charlie reportedly told the police officer, “No parent should have to watch their kid go through that,” and with that he promised to help any way that he could. In a day’s time he wrote a $75,000 check to the cause, starting a charity just for the little girl.

Apparently Charlie started the trend because his stunt double, Eddie Braun also wrote a check, his for $25,000.

Charlie can obviously do what he chooses to with his money, it’s his and he earned it, but think about what could have been if he would’ve chosen to give this (or any other) charity the $100k he recently slid over to Lindsay Lohan to help pay for her IRS debt. Much more deserved! I actually heard the ungrateful Blohan didn’t even thank the man. Entitled brat.

Anyway, after doing a little research I’ve learned that Chaz has given a LOT of money to a lot of different charities, and he’s started plenty. Aside from fund he just began in Jasmine’s name, he also started the foundation named “Sheen’s Corner”, which has helped the “Bryan Stow Fund”. Stow was the SF Giants fan that was brutally beaten in the Dodger stadium’s parking lot in early 2011; so bad that he was put into a medically induced coma, and remained in one a very long time. Fortunately he lived and is now in the very slow process of healing. His medical bills were expected to get as high as $50M, but thanks to people like Charlie Sheen, this has been somewhat relieved.

What I’m really trying to say is, “Kudos to you Charlie!”
