Eagle Tries to Nab Baby!

This is come crazy shiz!

Awhhh…look at the beautiful Golden Eagle! OMG! Forget the eagle, it’s trying to eat the baby! Get in mah belly, baby! 

In this crazy video, taken by someone in Montreal, Canada, golfers on a golf course casually stroke their day away as they enjoy 18 rounds of golf on the greens. But as one of the bystanders takes video of the impending eagle, the mood goes from “Awhhhh!” to “Oh shiz, WTF is happening here?!” when the eagle swoops in on a real live baby who has been brought along for the ride.

The Golden Eagle swirls around the golf course, then hones in on it’s prey (the baby) and goes in for the kill. Thank God the baby proves too heavy for the eagle who only manages to get the baby off the ground a foot or so before dropping him/her.  A spectacle indeed, but it’s only funny because the baby is okay, and the Golden Eagle carried on about it’s business.

Probably the funniest comment on YouTube came from Sebastian Kimmel: “This could have been avoided if the kid had its own eagle!”

Indeed.

UPDATE: Well played, kiddos. A group of students with degrees in 3D Animation and Digital Design at Montreal’s Centre NAD say they created this video in an attempt to see if they could make a viral video. They suceeded, with more than a million views on YouTube. They say that “both the eagle and the kid were created in 3D animation and integrated in to the film afterwards.”

Brilliant!
