Fitness magazine recently came out with their “Hottest Celebrity Bodies” issue for 2012, and for fun I took the list and added what I could find about their guilty pleasure/favorite foods to eat. Everyone has at least one craving for a food that’s not so good for us (and maybe, rarely it is) and celebrities aren’t immune. I’ve split the list in half, as they’re 18 celebs listed in total. So think of it as two “Top 9 Lists”.
So, here goes:
#1 – Katie Holmes: “Best Revenge Body”
Holmes does have a rocking body and she’s been known to be pretty dedicated to a healthy lifestyle. She follows a strict diet based on vegetable and she also makes a habit of working out a lot by taking Soul Cycle classes, but she’s not perfect. Nobody is. So, what’s her diet weakness? According to her, it’s cappuccino coffee. She says she drinks at least two or three a day.
#2 – Blake Lively: “Best Legs”
Though I’m not a huge Blake Lively fan, I do agree the girl has got a killer body and I think Fitness mag got it right with giving the actress the “Best Legs” honor cuz girlfriend has them! Aside from Jen Aniston, Lively’s legs are some of Hollywood’s best. When it comes to food guilty pleasures, Lively says her food guilty pleasure is old-fashioned chocolate. She says, “I don’t stop eating things with chocolate. Chocolate milk, chocolate bar, another chocolate bar, empty chocolate bar.” She says with a laugh, “That’s bad!”
#3 – Michelle Obama: “Best Arms”
When I think of what makes one’s arms nice-looking, I tend to think they should be slim but toned, but not overdone, scary arms like Madonna’s. The First Lady does have great arms and she also has a fave food. Hers is French fries. She admits, “[I] love French Fries. More so than sweets”, but adds that it’s really “about balance and moderation.” This is true.
#4 – Kate Hudson: “Best Cleavage”
Okay, not getting this one to be honest with you. Even with a discreet breast augmentation, Kate Hudson is still very petite on top, which looks great and fits her, but the best? We don’t have to go to the opposite end of the spectrum to say Christina Hendricks, though she would probably be my pick, but what about Scarlett Johannson? Anyway, the slender star for the most part eats clean and healthy and also regularly exercises, but when it comes to food indulgences, she’ll have everything from Pineapple Chicken Salad (which is still really healthy) to candy and chocolates. Random mix!
#5 – Gwen Stefani: “Best Abs”
Oh there’s no doubt (dur) Gwen Stefani rocks the best abs in Hollywood. She’s held that title for quite some time, that’s for sure, but it’s also no secret she’s worked hard to get them. From eating super healthy, to working out like a mad woman. At 43, she looks better than most women half her age. Knowing Stefani’s love for Japan’s culture and their Harajuku girls, it’s no surprise to hear her favorite food is sushi. She has good taste in fashion and food.
#6 – Eva Longoria: “Best Butt”
I’m glad the magazine didn’t go the J.Lo (though she was the runner-up) or heaven forbid the Kim Kardouchian route but I do think they could have given this title to Jessica Biel, butt (dorky pun) if you’ve seen the photo Eva Longoria posed for in the coffee table book Asleep at the Chateau (a bit NSFW), you know they got this one right. She can thank her sugar-free diet and morning workouts for that bum. Regarding the food she likes to eat she has said, “I’m Mexican, so I cook all the time. I eat a lot, but I love vegetables. I love spinach and I love brussel sprouts. I eat vegetables with every meal.” She adds, “With dieting, I should but I don’t. I actually eat pretty healthily anyway. And with going to the gym, the great thing is that I can eat what I want. I love spaghetti with meatballs.” Pasta is on my list as well. I’d rather have a bowl of pasta then a dessert, that’s for sure.
#7 – Jennifer Lawrence: “Best Curves”
I’m not too familiar with Jennifer Lawrence but from what I’ve seen she’s got a nice body. Curvy? That wouldn’t be the first word that comes to mind but I do like that has said that she’d never “starve herself” for a role and that she’d much rather look strong and healthy than “thin and underfed”. I didn’t find much on what the 22-year-old actress like to munch on, but a quick search said she loves pasta, while another sourcerevealed she was once spotted eating a giant meal at Denny’s. So plus one for the girl that isn’t afraid to eat and can still look hot.
#8 – Julianne Hough: “Best Back”
After seeing Julianne Hough’s rocking body in Rock of Ages (hey, it was one of the free or included movie options on my recent flight to Seoul), I can attest the woman does have a beautiful back, and allover body for that matter. We can safely assume she earned that body from dancing, and dancing a lot. When asked what she loves to eat, she answered, “I can think of one thing that I could eat for a month straight but I’m not sure of the name of it. It’s a type of dip that has lots of cheese and dairy products and looks like a molten lava of goodness! Sam’s Club has these Pita chips that go great with it. I could live off of this stuff for a month, no kidding!!”
#9 – Claire Danes: “Best Baby Bump
What is with this category? All baby bumps are cute in my opinion and what makes one’s better than another’s? I dunno, but Claire Danes apparently has (or had) the best one. The 33-year-old just gave birth to a baby boy (Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy – dad is Hugh Dancy) on December 17, 2012. I didn’t find much on Danes’ diet except that she reportedly refused to go on extreme juice cleanses and she won’t cut out whole food groups, so she’s not a carb nut. She does prefer to eat whole foods instead of processed and packaged foods, but she has admitted that she is an emotional eater, so if she’s having a bad day, she’ll allow herself to indulge in whatever food she wants at that moment. In her college days at Yale that food might have been burgers and pizza, or Ethiopian-style stews and curries.
For the most part, there’s nothing too shocking her in regards to the favorite foods of celebs. What about you? What’s your favorite thing to treat yourself to?
