Britney Spears To Be Fired From Her ‘X Factor’ Gig

If all of the recent rumors circulating around about Britney Spears have truth in them, 2013 is not going to be a good year for her.

Earlier this month we heard that Spears and her fiancé and business partner Jason Trawick were heading towards a breakup, then we heard that crazy story that Kevin Federline’s brother was claiming that Britney Spears’ son Sean Preston was actually his kid, and now we’ve got word that Ms. Spears will be let go from her co-judging job on the X Factor next season.

Says an insider (via Us Weekly): “Britney will get the boot. Producers wanted her for the long haul, but it isn’t working.”

Apparently one reason the 31-year-old singer will be let go is because she hasn’t earned that $15 million the X Factor shelled out for her to judge and mentor on the show.

“They paid all that for her to say ‘amazing’ and offer half-claps,” says another insider.

A different source says this of the show’s co-creator Simon Cowell: “He wanted crazy Britney, but he got boring Britney.”

This has got to be true. As much as I hate to say it, judging-wise, Britney Spears really wasn’t contributing much, though I did have fun watching the wacky expressions she made a gazillion times every episode. As for Demi Lovato, now I’d be surprised if they let her go. I thought she rocked the gig.
