Seattle Hip Hop Artist Freddy E Commits Suicide

Seattle hip-hop artist and YouTube star Freddy E died in an apparent suicide Saturday, January 5th in his hometown of Renton, Wa.

He had been tweeting pics and updates the entire day leading up to his suicide and his last tweets were telling family members he loved them, and telling God he was sorry. Earlier in the day he tweeted. “Last night was real. #Hangover #CocaineBans”

The cause of his death was ruled suicide by self inflicted gunshot. An autopsy was performed Monday.

Freddy E had dozens of hilarious YouTube videos discussing/poking fun at a variety of topics and he was also a talented spoken word artist. His last video was uploaded on the day of his death. A spoken word video titled, ‘Ignorance’.

Most of Freddy E’s YouTube videos were lighthearted and comedic, he had more than 150 videos uploaded and 75,000+ subscribers.

On January 5, Freddy E claimed to have been up for more than 69 hours. “I’ma shut up now. I had an incredible night. I’ve been up for 69 hours and I’m back to work. And 1.” Then he tweeted about how he couldn’t sleep. It does seem like he did finally sleep, at least for a few hours, becase he was off Twitter from about 6:40am until just before noon. Then he tweeted, “Thank God for Another Day. Amen.” Not long later his tweets took a turn for the worse. “Annnd, my day is ruined.”

“Smoked my first pack of cigarettes today… been a long time since I’ve gone through heart break. It’s a cold unforgiving world if I do say.”

“If there’s a God then He’s calling me back home. This barrel never felt so good next to my dome. It’s cold & I’d rather die than live alone.”

“It’s… all… bad… y’all. *puts finger around trigger*”

Then he said his goodbyes.

Freddy E was only 22-years-old. Too damn young. R.I.P.
