Seattle Rapper Macklemore Gets Engaged

Seattle rapper Macklemore is engaged to his girlfriend of seven years, Tricia Davis. He announced the couple’s engagement on Twitter Monday. He posted, “After 7 years… I asked. And she said yes. The love of my life @baba_g”.

He also uploaded a pic of the engagement ring to Instagram, and wow, it’s gorgeous, lucky girl!

Macklemore has been a rapper in the Seattle music scene since 2000, but his  debut studio album The Heist was just released on October 9, 2012. It debuted at #1 on US iTunes.

Macklemore has struggled with addictions in the past (Oxycontin) but eventually overcame them and has been sober since 2008. He’s a Seattle icon and we’re happy to congratulate him on his engagement!
