Soundgarden Premieres ‘Crooked Steps’ Video

New video from Soundgarden – Crooked Steps

Yes, you all know how much I love my Soundgarden, so you can always expect a post from me when they’ve got a new video/album/tour or if like, Chris cuts his hair or something. In fact, I am a little extra giddy about the band these days because I’m heading to their show (both nights) here in Seattle in a week and a half. I’m a weirdo, I actually get butterflies over this band. Or Chris Cornell. Or Both.

ANYWAY, the video for Crooked Steps is f***ing genius. Directed by none other than Dave Grohl, Soundgarden are badass biker dudes, with leather jackets that say “Crooked Steps” instead of “Sons of Anarchy” on them. Same logo and all that. But instead of motorcycles, they are cruising on Segways. Yes, Soundgarden on Segways, bitches.

They arrive at a bar where some goony DJ is playing crap from his computer and they boot him from the stage and take over with REAL music. You know, with things like drums and guitars and stuff.

The goony DJ calls the police and eventually there’s a police chase, Cops vs.Soundgarden on Segways. Eventually the guys decide to give up so they turn on their wheels and put their hands in the air. They’re cuffed and arrested. Then at the very end of the video we see who one of the cops is, and he’s pissed. But WHO is the cop in the Crooked Steps video? The new Soundgarden album King Animal is amazing, the band is back, and as I’ve said before, it’s like they never left. Pick it up, you’ll dig it.
