Ashley Judd, Husband Dario Franchitti Split Up

Ashley Judd and her husband of 11 years, Dario Franchitti, have decided to split up.

A spokesperson for the 44-year-old actress and 39-year-old Scottish racecar driver told People in a statement Tuesday, “We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed.”

The couple got married in Scotland in December 2001 after being engaged for almost two years. They do not have any children.

In 2009, Judd told Redbook one of their secrets to keeping their marriage happy was that they gave each other “an appreciation” every day, even when they weren’t feeling it.

She said then, “But that’s the point of the exercise. Even when one is cross, to get some gratitude on board.”

Sadly, these two didn’t work out. There’s no word yet on whether either one (or both) will file any divorce papers. We’ll keep you up to date!
