New TOOL Album Delayed Due To Freak Scooter Accidents

New Tool Album Delayed Due To Scooter Accidents 2013

One year without a new Tool album seems like a lifetime so six years is just way too long, but that wait is almost over but not without a little delay. You can blame that hold up on Vespa scooters!

The band took to their website to let fans know that two of their members, though they won’t name names, recently got into two different scooter accidents and unfortunately it’s slowing down their writing process. Luckily, the musicians were okay but they did suffer some injuries. Apparently, one person suffered a head injury and many cuts and bruises while the other broke some ribs and dislocated their shoulder. Ouch!

The band stated: “The New Year started off on a bad note as far as writing and arranging sessions for Tool’s next record. Because of the physical nature of the musical involvement involved, 9 DAYS of jamming were lost.”

“Coincidently, a few days prior to the mishap on the scooter, another person involved with Tool also wound up in the hospital after crashing his Vespa in Hollywood.”

But no worries, they went on to say that “writing sessions resumed last Monday [January 21]…”

In other Tool news, according to Fuse, the band’s guitarist Adam Jones recently proposed to his girlfriend at the World Wrestling Entertainment’s Royal Rumble. You can see him do it here. SO SWEET!
