Frank Ocean Drops Charges Against Chris Brown Over Recent Fight

Maybe Frank Ocean has been getting threats from people close to Chris Brown or his fans, or maybe he too began seeing Brown as the real martyr in the aftermath of their recent fight, or it could just be he genuinely had a change of heart and just wants to be the mature one in the matter. Whatever the reason, Ocean has decided to drop all assault charges against the rapper.

Ocean posted a statement on his website saying, “As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”

Another lucky situation for Brown, who seems to get off easy with incidents like this. It’s great that Ocean wants to be the ‘better man’ in all of this, but if Brown did indeed start the fight like was first reported, is that a good message to send out to the world? What some people get away with is just insane to me.
