After a three-year hiatus, the members of Fall Out Boy are reuniting and are getting ready to drop a new album and hit the road to tour!
On Monday, the group announced that they’d soon be going on tour to promote Save Rock and Roll, their sixth album to date and the first in five years. The record is due to be released in May.
Singer Patrick Stump, who recently got married, along with bassist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley, also let it be known that the first single off the upcoming album is called “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” and is currently available on iTunes.
The band wrote on their website: “When we were kids the only thing that got us through most days was music. It’s why we started Fall Out Boy in the first place. This isn’t a reunion because we never broke up. We needed to plug back in and make some music that matters to us….the future of fall out boy starts now…save rock and roll.”
Looking forward to it boys! It’s been too long.
