Alyssa Milano Mourns After Her Dog Diesel Dies Of Cancer

Oh boy, I’m already tearing up as I write about this.

Alyssa Milano has said goodbye to one of her canine best friends, Diesel, after he passed away from cancer.

The beautiful (inside and out) actress shared the heartbreaking news on Twitter Sunday, writing, “Rest in peace, my beautiful Diesel. I hope you’re playing Frisbee at the dog park in the sky. I love you forever.”

The actress began to show concern for her dog back in January. At that time she tweeted, “My dog Diesel is sick. They think it could be liver failure. Please keep him in your prayers. (Thank you.)”

Sadly, soon after they found out Diesel had cancer. Weeks later she wrote, “My Diesel has cancer. I’m heartbroken.”

According to People, Alyssa, mama to precious 17-month-old little Milo, has a brood of other pets to help her through this painful time including four other dogs (Dodger, Lucy, Gibson, and Quixie) as well as ten horses.

Our heart goes out to Alyssa during this painful time. Any pet parent knows that losing a pet is losing a family member and it’s devastating. And Alyssa is personally one of my favorite celebs. She truly has a heart of gold and does so much for charities of all kinds. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family at this difficult time.
