John Alleman, a daily visitor of the infamous Las Vegas burger joint The Heart Attack Grill has died after suffering – you guessed it – a heart attack.
The Heart Attack Grill is famous for it’s hospital theme, scantily clad “nurse” servers, and it’s massive calorie-stuffed hamburger. John was dubbed, “Patient John” by the staff and regulars. He often ate at the burger joint and was so recognizable the restaurant made him the unofficial mascot. Alleman, 54, was recently hospitalized at a Las Vegas hospital where he died Monday morning.
Jon Basso, The Heart Attack Grill’s owner (also known as “Doctor Jon”), says he never condoned Alleman’s daily diet of Double Bypass Burgers, Flatliner Fries, Full Sugar Cokes, and Butterfat Shakes.
Basso told the Las Vegas Sun: “I told him if you keep eating like this, it’s going to kill ya. He’d say, ‘I just love your place, Jon.’ He’s the only person I know who was probably at the restaurant more than I.”
John Alleman is not the first Heart Attack Grill customer to be hospitalized, two others have been taken from the burger joint in an ambulance, mid-meal. (VIDEO)
Have you ever had a Double Bypass Burger? Would you try one, or is it something you’d rather pass up?
