Dave Grohl Talks About Directing Soundgarden Video ‘By Crooked Steps’ [VIDEO]

When Dave Grohl signed on to direct Soundgarden’s music video their new song “By Crooked Steps” off the album King Animal, we all knew we were in for a treat. Two of the fiercest forces intermingling their magical musical skills, let’s just agree, this is freaking heaven. Plus, the iconic Seattle band is rocking it on Segways, with the likes of Deadmau5.

Spicy introduced us to Soundgarden’s amazing new video a couple weeks ago and now we’ve got a clip giving us a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes craziness, along with interviews with the band, but also with Grohl, Deadmau5, and others appearing in the video.

Grohl says that the idea came to him almost fully formed. “I kind of come up with these little videos in my head,” he says. The band’s lead singer, Chris Cornell, calls the video “an awesome contrast to the song.”
