‘Storage Wars’ Star, Mark Balelo, Commits Suicide Two Days After Drug Arrest

'Storage Wars' star Mark Balelo Commits Suicide 2013

Mark Balelo, who frequently appeared on A&E’s reality show Storage Wars, was found dead of an apparent suicide at his Simi Valley, California home on Monday.

According to reports, the 40-year-old died of carbon monoxide poisoning and was found inside his car, which was parked in his garage while running.

Balelo was reportedly arrested just two days before for possession of a controlled substance and was scheduled to appear in court on February 19. Apparently on Sunday the reality star asked his fiancée to visit him because he was afraid he’d hurt himself. After taking a nap and some time Balelo said he’d felt better and later that night, his fiancée left. His body was found the next day.

My husband watches this show religiously and because of that I’ve seen the show several times. It’s sad because I recall seeing Mark on a few of the episodes I’ve watched. He seemed like a passionate, hard-working guy that loved what he did.

Rest in peace Mark Balelo.
