Mindy McCready Shot Her Dog Before Killing Herself

Country singer Mindy McCready reportedly shot and killed her dog before killing herself on Sunday, according to new reports surrounding the singer’s tragic death.

One month after her lover David Wilson allegedly committed suicide (it has not been rule a suicide officially) McCready took her life into her own hands, shooting herself on the front porch of her Arkansas home. The same porch where Wilson shot and killed himself. But before she killed herself, she also killed the family dog. His body was discovered next to hers.

McCready had been struggling with Wilson’s death and the fact that her children had been removed from her care by authorities. She attempted a stint in rehab, but left before it’s completion. Friends and loved ones say it was no surprise, she’s threatened suicide many times before, and especially in the days following Wilson’s death.
